One glance inside a new 2024 Porsche Cayenne and you’ll immediately realize why these models are racing up the luxury vehicle sales charts. Redesigned to keep the aesthetics and practicality at an optimum level, the Cayenne offers several new interior features.
Infotainment touchscreens, including an optional third one in-front of the passenger seat, highlight the updates. The first one is a 12.6-inch curved digital gauge cluster displaying vital information like speed, fuel level, and navigation. This replaces the Cayenne’s previous analog tachometer and digital readouts.
The second one is a 12.3-inch touchscreen controlling the Cayenne's infotainment media system. This includes a video streaming function allowing you to watch your favorite shows or movies via ScreenHits TV (SHTV) while the vehicle is parked. The SHTV in-car app enables streaming access to live TV and subscription accounts including Disney+ and Amazon Prime.
The third screen is an optional 10.9-inch display allowing the front passenger to access navigation, and entertainment features like SHTV, while the Cayenne is in motion. The interface includes a privacy filter to help prevent driver distraction.
The screens revolve around a new-to-the-Cayenne steering wheel design. The steering wheel can also be found in the Porsche 911 and brings with it a new standard drive-mode selector. Transmission shifting now takes place on the dashboard, to the right of the steering wheel. The change is intended to save space. Other Cayenne interior updates include a new smartphone storage bin with wireless charging, more voice commands, and more USB-C ports.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne is not only comfortable and stylish, but also practical and versatile. And while Porsche does not release official specifications regarding headroom, legroom, and shoulder room, we can surmise passenger space with other known dimensions.
First, the Cayenne can seat up to five passengers – two in the first row and three in the second row. All Cayenne SUV trim levels have 86.4-inch exterior widths. The Cayenne and Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid stretch 194.1 inches, which is 0.1 inches longer than the Cayenne S and Cayenne E-Hybrid variants. The Cayenne, Cayenne S, and Cayenne E-Hybrid are 66.8 inches high. The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid’s height is 66.4 inches.

By comparison, the 2024 BMW X5 SUV allocates less space to its passengers. Also a five-seat SUV, the X5 is about seven inches narrower than the Cayenne and has up to 11 additional cubic feet of total cargo space. However, the X5 and Cayenne’s exterior lengths are nearly the same. Another Cayenne rival, the Mercedes-Benz GLE, features similar dimensions except for when passengers are in the back row. The GLE’s cargo space behind the back row ranges between 5-10 additional cubic feet. As a result, the Cayenne’s back row is roomier.
