I often get asked about where we store CO2 once we pull it from the sky. There's a common misconception that it's dangerous to store it underground - when in fact, when done properly, it is the safest way to permanently keep CO2 out of the atmosphere where it causes harmful climatic warming. Take a read of our latest white paper which dives deep into underground storage (pun 💯 % intended)White paper 👉 : https://lnkd.in/gifutvmt

Records were broken last November at the shipyard when Icon of the Seas’ 363 tonne AquaDome was lifted into place. At 50 meters wide and 25 meters tall, the AquaDome is the largest single piece glass and steel structure ever lifted onto a ship. The whole operation took more than 80 hours to complete! The AquaDome is one of Icon of the Seas’ eight unique neighborhoods boasting 220-degree ocean views, restaurants and the one of a kind Aqua Theater. Check out how the operation went from the video below!Icon of the Seas runs on liquefied natural gas, the cleanest-burning marine fuel. Icon's 6 LNG-powered engines provide the ship with a total of 67,500 KW of power. Icon includes many other eco-friendly features, such as waste heat capture, fuel cell technology, shore power connection and a cutting edge waste management system.#IconoftheSeas#MeyerTurku#Shipbuilding#RoyalCaribbean#Aquadome#Sustainability
